Have you seen the “Top Fan” badge displayed on Facebook comments and you are wondering how you can have that on your own page?
In the 2 videos, I take you over to Facebook and show you step by step how to turn on your Top Fan Badges. On video walks you through enabling the Fan Badge using a PC, the other is if you are doing it on mobile.
When Facebook 1st came out with the fan badges you had to have at least 10,000 followers and you had to be running the video page theme. While they no longer have those requirements, some pages still do not have the Top Fan Badge option. There is no "set in stone" reason why those pages don't have it. My best advice is to not worry about it and just keep building your page and increasing engagement.
The Top Fan Badge has very little use on some pages, while on other pages it can encourage more engagement.
Keep in mind that more engagement on your Facebook Page does not mean it will all be quality engagement. The badges can draw in spam, so beware.
I also get ask a lot as to how you can give someone a fan badge and as an owner or and Admin, you cannot choose who gets the badge, that is assigned by a Facebook algorithm.
Now while you cannot assign a badge, you can take one away from someone. So, if you have a person who you don't want to completely block from your page, but they are just leaving a lot of crap comments to keep their badge, you can just eliminate that problem.
You do control if it is even used on your page, you can turn it on and off at any time. Some pages like the badges, while they seem really cheesy on others. This is something you will have to decide on your own.
